Queen’s to bring ‘green chemistry’ to industry

KINGSTON – Queen’s University will receive $9.1 million in federal funding over five years to help establish GreenCentre Canada. One of the federal government’s new Centres of Excellence for Commercialization and Research, the facility will be geared to moving more “green chemistry” – the design of materials and processes that reduce and prevent the formation of waste – from Canadian university labs into factories across the country.
