Sales up, profit not at Wi-LAN

Wi-LAN-logo-cropped.JPGOTTAWA – Despite a 74% increase in revenue to $6.3 million in the first quarter of 2009, ending January 31, pro forma earnings of technology innovation and licencing company Wi-LAN Inc. declined to $808,000 in Q1 2009 from $2 million in the comparable period of 2008. The revenue increase was tied to signed agreements with 12 companies, including Samsung Electronics and Pantech & Curitel Communications. Click here for more information.
