Chemaphor receives IRAP cash

OTTAWA – Chemaphor Inc. is awarded $296,000 in non-refundable financing from the National Research Council of Canada’s Industrial Chemaphor-logo127X55.JPGResearch Assistance Program, to help develop its OxBC beta-carotene product for animals. Along with the cash, NRC-IRAP will provide the company with technical and business advice to help advance its research, which is being conducted at its lab in Charlottetown, established with a $2.1- million loan from the province of PEI and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency. OxBC is a nutraceutical intended for pet care, as well as an organic feed additive for “food animals” such as cows and chickens.
