FaveQuest takes stage with Bluesfest

Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest hooks up with local startup FaveQuest to provide fans with an intro to the music festival’s 200 acts on Facebook and the Bluesfest website. FaveQuest, whose platform helps companies increase revenue by connecting with people, says Bluefest fans using the technology will enjoy a greater level of interaction with the event, allowing them to share information about the performers and the event itself. Supported by FaveQuest’s platform, Bluesfest ViewTube will allow users to view YouTube video for each act, and provide them with a personalized calendar, e-mail confirmations and alerts, and a link to event ticket vendors. Users can then send invitations to friends, who can check out videos and schedule information, etc., before buying tickets. “Today’s music fans are Internet savvy and massive consumers of online musical content,” says Mark Monahan, Bluesfest’s executive director. “Working with FaveQuest on this exciting new application should help satisfy our fans’ desire to learn more, and get more excited, about our lineup.”
