Firan Q1 results improve

Firan-cropped.JPGTORONTO – Firan Technology Group, an aerospace and defence products supplier, reports sales of $14.7 million in Q1 ending February 27, an 8% increase from $13.6 million in the corresponding period in 2008. Sales are positively impacted by the strengthening of the greenback, offsetting a decline in activity in FTG’s circuits and aerospace divisions. Operating earnings before R&D and tax amount to $1 million, compared to $161,000 last year. Net loss for the first quarter was $67,000 compared to a net loss of $1.05 million in the comparable quarter in 2008. Click here for more information.
