MedShare gets funding injection from NRC-IRAP
CAMBRIDGE – MedShare secures $284,500 from the National Research Council's Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP) to develop the
company’s mobile wireless solutions for homecare agencies. MedShare will use the funding to help create a new electronic medical records solution that will give healthcare workers access to patient medical records, decision support and care documentation tools. The company says the electronic medical records solution will help eliminate inefficient, paper-based processes used by some 130,000 home healthcare workers currently attending 1.5 million patients in Canada. NRC-IRAP, along with providing funding, has taken an active partnership role in the project, bringing in consulting services, research opportunities, connections and technical expertise.
