OTTAWA – Elliptic Semiconductor’s gigabit per second Internet protocol security technology is selected by communications chip maker Mindspeed Technologies Inc. for its new low-power Comcerto 1000 system-on-chip processor. Jointly developed by engineers from both companies, the integrated processor “represents one of the most powerful solutions in its class,” according to Elliptic. Newport Beach, Calif.-based Mindspeed develops and markets semiconductor networking solutions for communications applications in enterprise, access, metropolitan and wide-area networks.
