Water tech firms forming tripartite alliance
Ontario-based green tech companies Clearford Industries Inc., Filter Innovations Inc. and Aslan Technologies Inc. sign a letter of intent to create a strategic alliance to provide integrated water management solutions for wastewater collection, treatment, conservation and distribution including potable water.
Filter Innovations, headquartered in Toronto, makes containerized membrane bioreactor wastewater treatment systems. Burlington-based Aslan provides technology for water purification. Clearford uses patented technologies to create systems for sealed wastewater collection and partial treatment, and for water distribution. “An urgent demand for new methods of meeting the need for clean fresh water in urban communities provides a dynamic opportunity for Clearford and its alliance partners,” says Rod Bryden, chairman
of Clearford. “We are excited to embark on this partnership with two organizations with proven track records and excellent and fully complementary technologies.” Clearford is returning to its initial focus on wastewater treatment technology, after completing the sale of its Brookline Concrete businesses to Armtec Infrastructure Income Fund.
