BIOREM awarded $1.3 million in new orders

GUELPH — Air pollution control tech maker BIOREM Inc. receives two orders worth a total of $1.3 million from unspecified customers in the Midwest and on the US Pacific coast. The company says both orders are for biofiltration technology using Biorem’s inorganic Biosorbens media, which will be used to treat odors at wastewater treatment plants in order to meet stringent air pollution regulations. “During these economic times, Biorem’s products and technology strengths come to the forefront as we continue to be awarded new orders and grow our booking totals,” says president and CEO Peter Bruijns, who notes that the company expects to receive more than 75% of the revenue from the two projects in 2009.
