Espial revenue soars in Q1
OTTAWA – Espial Group Inc. posts first-quarter revenue of $3.1 million, a 142% spike above the company’s $1.3 million in revenue for the same period of 2008. Net loss narrowed to $1.2 million or eight cents per share, from $1.8 million or 19 cents per share. “We believe that consumers will continue to spend their entertainment dollars on their TV and video-on-demand services during these difficult times,” states Jaison Dolvane, president and CEO. “While our industry is still in the early stages of growth, and as such in the short term we may experience significant fluctuations in amount, size and timing of orders, we are very excited by increasing interest for (our services).” Espial makes interactive software solutions for service providers in the cable, TV and hospitality industries.
