Open Text signs exclusive multi-year deal with province
WATERLOO – Open Text Corp. is selected by the Ontario Ministry of Government Services to be
the sole provider of enterprise content management solutions for the provincial government for the next 10 years. The company says the deal will see a full range of its solutions, including software for managing records and document, web content and document imaging, used across all government ministries, agencies and crown corporations, helping the province implement its enterprise information management strategy.
Open Text’s products will also allow the Ontario Government to adopt the latest social media software for enterprises, using applications such as wikis, blogs and online communities to improve worker productivity and engage constituents in public matters.
“Governments have some of the most complex information management challenges, given their size, multiple agencies and responsibility to serve the public,” says John Shackleton, president and CEO of Open Text.
