Transcontinental marketing biz nets $2.5 million in new deals
TORONTO – You know that times are tough but the tough are fighting back when companies ring the bell for every win, even the little ones. Transcontinental Publishing’s marketing communications division bundles a bunch of contracts worth 0.1% of revenues and issues a press release. The contracts total about $2.5 million, thanks in part to recent acquisitions of ThinData and web marketer Conversys. The new deals, for services including print-to-web solutions, database marketing and email marketing campaigns, were signed with the likes of Purolator, the Shopping Channel and Readers Digest. Transcontinental is the largest printer in Canada and fifth-largest in North America, according to the firm. It has approximately 14,000 employees in Canada, the US and Mexico, and last year reported revenues of $2.4 billion.
