MISSISSAUGA/WATERLOO – Ingram Micro Canada and Research in Motion sign an agreement for the former to market and distribute RIM’s BlackBerry software and services to its Canadian IT resellers. Mississauga-based Ingram Canada says its partners will sell RIM’s supported business software to SMBs, as well as enterprise and government customers. “We are offering the market-leading BlackBerry solution to our Canadian IT resellers as an opportunity for them to provide businesses of all sizes a more comprehensive portfolio of wireless software and support services,” says Tim Billing, VP, vendor management at Ingram. “Our reseller partners now have what they need to position themselves as BlackBerry solution specialists and capture the sales and service opportunities surrounding the mobile workforce.” Self-described as the world’s largest technology distributor, Santa Ana, Calif.-based Ingram Micro sells products and services in approximately 150 countries.
