Nortel delisted

Shares of Nortel Networks Corp. are Nortel-114X29.JPGdelisted from the TSX in the wake of news that the former Canadian telecom heavyweight is selling most of wireless business to Nokia Siemens Networks B. V. for $US650-million, and negotiating the sale of the rest of its operations. The iconic, 127-year-old company has been restructuring under court protection from creditors. Nortel shares, which in 2000 were worth $124.50, dropped to 18.5 cents at the close of trading Friday.
