Nortel delisted
Shares of Nortel Networks Corp. are delisted from the TSX in the wake of news that the former Canadian telecom heavyweight is selling most of wireless business to Nokia Siemens Networks B. V. for $US650-million, and negotiating the sale of the rest of its operations. The iconic, 127-year-old company has been restructuring under court protection from creditors. Nortel shares, which in 2000 were worth $124.50, dropped to 18.5 cents at the close of trading Friday.
