OTTAWA – Satellite broadcasting technology and content provider International Datacasting Corp. shells out about $2 million to buy Comtech Tiernan Video Inc., a digital video and radio distribution product company. IDC says the move will see it acquire complementary product lines and technology from the Comtech Telecommunications Corp. subsidiary, including HD and standard-definition video encoders and receivers, satellite audio and data broadcast equipment. The deal brings Tiernan’s main operations in California, as well as sales and support offices in Massachusetts, the UK, China and Singapore, into the IDC fold. Click here for more information.
